With over 6,000 m² and seven saunas at different temperatures, plus two steam saunas and a double Maa sauna set deep into the ground with wood firing, two relaxation rooms, spacious seating and relaxation areas, a fireplace corner, cold water pools indoors and outdoors, and eight foot basins, the bathing paradise Eiswiese is one of our largest wellness projects ever and worth a visit for every guest! In this blog post, we would like to bring you closer to the topic of the sauna world in connection with excellent and hand-picked old wood, as well as the construction of wellness facilities and steam baths.
The Eiswiese bathing paradise project is so large and complex that we cannot go into every point in detail, but we will give you an impression below and deal with various topics and let you see behind the scenes, i.e. the planning and construction phase, the Possible uses of materials and of course some information about the sauna facilities, wellness areas & spa and the modular steam bath, but also the technical possibilities and information about the control systems, which are indispensable in such complex systems.
Steam bath - plant construction
From the shell to just before completion
Your installation in existing structures and rooms is no problem for us as a professional in plant construction for steam baths, saunas and wellness facilities. Here is a comparison of the shell construction phase in direct comparison to the final phase and the tiling of the steam bath facility. The view also clearly shows how modular our systems are and how free we can be in the design of these systems.
Steam bath & control via Spa Control
Since no two steam baths (Hamam, Turkish sauna) are the same, personal advice before the start of the project is particularly important. For us, the system type, the intended use, the installation location and of course the size, as well as the materials used such as tiles or stones are of essential importance, because only then can we plan the system. Depending on the size and scope of the steam bath, a wide variety of materials and systems are used. Solid steam baths, for example, are usually not only more expensive, but also more complex to build, whereas modular systems based on acrylic or fiberglass combinations or wooden constructions are quicker, cheaper and easier to install. Especially with acrylic or fiberglass combinations, there are hardly any limits to your own ideas, especially in tight spaces, as the material can be easily installed or deformed. But don't worry, every design is durable and absolutely reliable. For example, the heating of benches in solid buildings is much easier to plan. Depending on the desired result, completely individual systems can be planned and implemented.
Nothing works without a tax system! With our spa control system, which is managed via a display panel, both employees and visitors can conveniently control the steam bath. In addition to temperature, fan control, humidity or lighting, this system leaves nothing to be desired. Even remote maintenance via remote IP from other locations is possible. The digital signals on the touch panel are transmitted to an e.g. PLC, logo, Wago system and converted to e.g. 12/24/60V etc. analog signals and transmitted to smaller relays, which in turn carry the large loads for heating, atomizers, lights, or Control ventilation systems etc. But all of this is only possible if the sensors from the systems that we install also supply the appropriate data for the control. Complex processes or programs can also be pre-programmed here, with manual intervention in the process being possible at any time.
The wonder of old wood!
Old wood beams, old wood boards, old wood slats and much more.
Old wood has become indispensable in modern sauna facilities and is very popular with our customers. Here you can compare what else can be conjured up from old beams and wood. The effect achieved is just amazing!
Premium reclaimed wood for the cabin look
From old to new! A hackneyed saying, but it is the thing in sauna construction. What is rubbish or old for others is a real treasure for us as sauna builders, depending on the type of wood. Up here in comparison you can see very well what can be conjured up from old beams alone. Depending on the condition of the wood, provided that it is stored correctly, not only can great projects and saunas be realized, but real eye-catchers can be conjured up, which inspire visitors to the sauna and remain in the memory for a long time. But be careful... not all old wood is the same! Only special woods without a large amount of resin or moisture are suitable for this or are even specially processed and cared for for use in saunas such as old wood saunas, kelo saunas, sauna houses, log cabin saunas. The right wood in the sauna later also ensures that the climate does not change negatively during the sauna and that moisture problems do not arise.
When the modern sauna facility meets old wood, the hearts of visitors melt away. Smooth and pleasant wooden sauna benches with built-in old wood panels on the walls and ceiling ensure a rustic hut look and put you in a very special mood, while the guest completely forgets the time while taking a sauna. If the lighting mood is then adjusted and the temperature of 80° - 120° is right, the result is perfect for us. However, we not only use hand-picked old wood, but also old wood that is in no way inferior to the original. The goal is long-term use on an optical, professional level.
Wellness and savings area with foot basin and fireplace
A wellness area does not only consist of sauna facilities or steam baths, so for us, corresponding shower facilities, foot baths, plunge pools or other wellness components are also part of it. In this project, we were also able to take care of the spa area with a central fireplace, which we did well. The nearby counter and the comfortable seating invite you to linger and relax.
